This claim is also found in two articles on India. It is also mentioned in Business Standard here. This article by Focus News claims that the event occurred in Not much, but apparently this claim is well-known enough that even politicians are recounting it. A Merinews article also reports on the event, and an image caption on a Hindustan Times article mentioned it as well.
Of course, it is also found in a number of smaller and lesser-known sites. Given the content of each article and their dates of publication, it's entirely possible that some of them may have gotten this information from Wikipedia original source access date is March 1, or the other sources.
